About the Author
B.R.Mehta is Senior Vice President with Reliance Industries Ltd., Mumbai. He has over 41 years’ experience in the refinery and petrochemicals industry. He has worked on control systems and instrumentation engineering projects for Patalganga, Hazira, and Jamnagar Refinery & Petrochemicals during his 22+ years with Reliance Industries. Prior to joining Reliance, he worked for Agro-Chemical & Food Co., Kenya as Chief Instrumentation Engineer and for Indian Petrochemicals Ltd., Vadodara for 11 years as Instrument Engineer.

He is currently heading the design & engineering department for control systems & instrumentation. During his career he has worked with many overseas licensors, including U.O.P, Foster Wheeler , ICI, Union Carbide , Du Pont , Stork and Stone & Webster. He has also worked with engineering contractors Bechtel, John Brown , Lummus , Jecobs H & G , Lucky Engineering, Chemtex , Worley, and Aker Kvaerne. He has worked on basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, inspection, expediting, construction, testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning of various petrochemicals, chemicals, co-generation power & refinery projects from concept to Commissioning.

Dr. Y. Jaganmohan Reddy, has 18 years of experience in the field of industrial automation and control as a Senior Architect, Systems engineer, Project engineer, Test engineer, Maintenance engineer, and has also worked for Pre and Post sales support in industrial instrumentation, control and automation solutions. He graduated with a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in 1997 from Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Kakatiya University, Warangal and has a Masters in Software Systems in 2004 from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani, and got his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTUK, Kakinada. Earlier in his career he worked for JOCIL Ltd, a subsidiary of The Andhra Sugars Limited as an engineer (Instrumentation), responsible for maintenance and project activities of the instrumentation and Control Engineering. He is currently working as a senior architect in Natural Gas Measurement and Monitoring Systems in HTS Lab Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad.
Dr Reddy has published 26 research papers in various International/National journals and conferences and has authored two books on microgrids. He is a member of ISA, IETE and a Certified Automation Professional (CAP) and Systems Engineering Professional, and his research areas include Industrial automation, Power systems, Energy management systems, Instrumentation, and control systems.

This is a tough read. The author(s) appear to have written in one language and edited the book using software like a cell phone auto correct. The errors in grammar, spelling and culture make purchasing this book a mistake.

Got this book because of the pictures. Nice summary of different astronomers. Should be careful to explain to our children the difference between actual scientific facts and theory being taught to them as facts (not proven by scientific method.)

The Author: David Feeney received a B.A. in English and philosophy from Trinity College Dublin. After a year as a visiting researcher in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a period as a disability scholar with the National Disability Authority of Ireland, Feeney completed a Ph.D. in the English Department at Trinity College Dublin focusing on English literature, disability studies, and aesthetics.

Great Study Bible

I have a couple of Study Bibles, and although the NKJV is not my favorite translation, I truly enjoy this Bible. Just starting with the New Testament in Matthew, you can read the prophecy that was fulfilled by the first coming of Christ. Did you know how many prophecies there are about Christ, there are hundreds, including the birth place, the family lineage, the virgin birth, the amount of money he was to be betrayed for, etc. These were all written hundreds (seven hundred from Micah) of years before his birth.

This is how we know the coming prophecies are true, because the previous ones have already been proven out with the Birth, death and resurrection of Christ. So what about the second coming? Some of these have already come to pass, Duet 30:5 Israel returns to its land (also Amos 9:14). Most of them will happen at some future date that only god knows about (Matt 24:36)

If you have an interest in Prophecy, then this Bible is a great tool.

A Bible with VERY good study aids

This is a regular KJV of the Bible with lots of maps, editorals, and study aids thrown in. The extras here are a very nice help in understanding the subject of the seperate books. Please ignore the review from "Honestly, I didn't like it, December 12, 2000 Reviewer: A reader from Texas". Maybe the editorials in this book could have gone into more detail but if I want more info I'll get a book on that alone.
I have friends that don't believe there is a God. I plan on giving them a copy of this study Bible with little articles and editorals on the "sign of the times". I think this is a great Bible to give to new believers or disbelievers considering the recent happenings.

My Thoughts:

Robin Jones Gunn is one of my favorite authors. I read her books as a young teenager, college student, and now as an adult. God has used her writing to encourage me in some very difficult seasons of life. Recently, two of her novellas were updated and released again to celebrate the upcoming Hallmark Christmas movie based on the books.

These novellas are two of my favorites, and reading them is a delight to my soul. Robin’s writing is very compelling, and makes the reader feel part of the story. Set at Christmas time in England, the books take you on the personal journey of a young woman looking for her father, but what she finds is more than she ever imagined. Filled with a heartwarming story of family and the right amount of romance, these books are a must read. Plan to read these when you have no other plans because you will not want to stop. I cannot wait to read her latest installment called “Kissing Father Christmas,” which I know will not disappoint. Be sure to stay tuned for my review of that one soon. Grab your favorite cup of tea, and your favorite cozy chair, and begin. Happy reading!

A delightful heartwarming story of finding love in the Christmas season in the most delightful way!

I am so delighted when an exceptional novel gets to be made into a movie, and that is just what is happening to Robin Jones Gunn's novels Finding Father Christmas and Engaging Father Christmas. In fact since the movie is due out in December on the Hallmark Channel, the novels have been combined to allow the reader to discover how it all turns out in one spectacular seamless story line just as the movie will do. So if you are looking for a wonderful contemporary Christmas romance, trust me and pick this one up.

In Finding Father Christmas, Miranda Carson's been searching for her biological father based only on a handful of clues her mother left behind as an actress. She apparently had a brief love affair with a man who she refused to divulged to Miranda and only upon her death did she uncover a faded old black and white photo of a child in the lap of Father Christmas and an old playbill of her mother's with an apparent reference to who might be her father in it. Since Father Christmas is only recognized in London, England as well as the photography studio's name on the back of the photo, she believes that is the first place she should begin her search. After she learns that the photo studio has long been sold, she struggles for help with those in a small town of Carlton Heath, who may just know where her legacy lies. She only wishes to know who her father is, not try to upset those who may not be happy with what she uncovers and what that may mean to the family who has never heard of Miranda.

In the sequel to Finding Father Christmas, Engaging Father Christmas has led Miranda to the discovery of who her father was and the family she now has the chance to meet. However, happily ever afters seem to be only in the fairy tales, as rumors swirl of Miranda's birth and how that affects the family name of one of London's most influential families. It could spell disaster or it could bring about the only thing Miranda has ever dreamed of and that is knowing that she isn't alone in the world anymore and that she has a family who could love her if only given the chance. Is there more than the love of her family waiting or does Father Christmas have more than she could have ever wished for?

I received Finding Father Christmas/Engaging Father Christmas by Robin Jones Gunn compliments of Faith Words, a division of Hachette Book Groups for my honest review. I did not receive any monetary compensation aside from a copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased and personal opinion. I absolutely LOVED this book and it reminds me of what I always envisioned for a small town of Carlton Heath set in London, England. Some quirky but lovable characters, heart-warming small town charm, and lots of romance to be found that isn't over the top obvious, even though you know how it might all play out. You want a bit of tension that it might not work out so easily and that you fall in love not only with the main characters but all the secondary supporting ones as well. My favorite was Ellie. You just never know what she will be dressed up as, and she truly loves what she does. It does make me want to watch A Christmas Carol all over again, but more than that, to appreciate the present more than ever before! I'd easily give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Don't forget to pick up the 3rd novel, Kissing Father Christmas due out in October!

In Finding Father Christmas, Miranda Carson invites you to be her guest and join her into the book - you literally feel like you are her friend inside the book with her on her journey. Her Mother - an actress - refuses to tell her anything about her Father - her Mother dies and she finds some clues her mother left behind a faded old black and white photo of a child in the lap of Father Christmas and an old playbill of her mother's with an apparent reference to who might be her father in it. Now Father Christmas is only in London, England - so as you and I would do - being her guest we all go to London to find her Father - she goes to London and finds the photo shop and that leads to a small town called Carlton Heath and when she gets there - you will not believe what happens - well she ..........you know I cannot tell you - it would ruin it - you need to go and get it - it is worth every Penney
Now as for the second book Finding Father Christmas, I am not going to say very much - Miranda meets the people in Carlton Heath and they.......well What happens to Miranda? Will she ever meet her Father Christmas? What happens when she gets involved with the town? Is there anything special that happens? Ya'll you have to get this book - it is so worth it.
